No longer have the app

Request a deletion by email.

If you have uninstalled the app or can no longer sign in, send us a deletion request. Please write from the email address associated with your Break The Map account — we verify every request before processing it, and your account is deleted within 30 days of the request.

What happens to your data

Deleted, and what stays.

Deleted permanently

  • Your authentication account and login credentials.
  • Your profile: username, photo, biography and personal details.
  • Your Blackbook and your participation in events (interested, going, battling).
  • Your saved spots and events, and your notification settings.

May be retained

  • Spots and events you added stay on the map, with no link to your identity, so the information remains useful to the community.
  • Data we must keep for legal, security or fraud-prevention reasons, for up to 12 months.
  • Encrypted backups, which are automatically overwritten within 30 days of the deletion.

Good to know

Deletion is permanent.

Deletion from the app is immediate and cannot be undone: your Blackbook and your history cannot be recovered. If you only want a break, logging out keeps everything in place for when you come back.
